The bleach-fix step stops the action of the colour developer by lowering the pH of the emulsion and converting the metallic silver back into a silver halide. Simultaneously, it converts the silver halide into soluble silver salt and then removes it from the emulsion. There is no longer any need for a Bleach starter to mix fresh tank solutions.

It is a liquid concentrate consisting of only one part, which is mixed 1:1.5 with water to make both Replenisher and working tank solutions. RA-SPC/54 is formulated with added preservatives to ensure process quality even at lower turnover.

This Bleach fix Replenisher has a recommended replenishment rate range from 90-160mL/m2 depending on application; it is formulated to work well in a variety of processing times from 20-45 second's, being particularly well suited for all quick time processors.

RA-SPC/215 Bleach Fix Replenisher (215mL/m2) is a higher rate Single Part Concentrate RA-4 type bleach-fix with a replenishment rate of 215 mL/m2. It is a liquid concentrate consisting of only one part, which is mixed 1:4 with water to make both Replenisher and working tank solutions.
